October 27 - Pro Se Court and LEQ Practice

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be conducting a Pro Se Court where you will be debating the presidency of Andrew Jackson.  This should be fun and informative and I always enjoy seeing and hearing you in action with history!  I want you to do your best to put yourself in a position to argue your point, whether you agree with it or not.  I'm so excited!  Have a great day!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Evaluate the claims that Andrew Jackson was either a tyrant of "man of the people" through a structured debate
  2. Practice LEQ writing in order to become familiar with the timing, structure, and evaluation process
