Hi all,
Here is the info you need for signing up (or opting out) of the AP Test in May. Please make sure you follow this information, as this is happening a lot sooner than in the past and there is a penalty if you opt out after the deadline. I highly encourage you all to take the test as this class (ideally) prepares you for it. If you have any questions or would like to talk about the test please feel free to email or come in during tutorial and I would love to talk!
Hope you are having a great break!
Mr. Marchetti
The first form is an Opt Out Letter. If you are enrolled in an AP class but you DO NO want to take the exam, fill it out and turn it in to Mr. Miller or any other teacher ASAP. At this moment, every student that is in an AP class is automatically signed up. From what I understand, if you don't Opt Out, you'll be billed $40 for each test you miss by the College Board. Last day to Opt Out is October 18.
The second form is the Sign Up Sheet. Place a check next to each test you intend to take. If your family filled out the form for "Reduced Lunch", each test will cost $5. If your family didn't fill out the form, you will be paying $95 for each test. Each AP teacher has a list of who has the $5 or $95 price. You can pay for all your tests with one check or cash. Only the people paying with cash will get a receipt.
