September 21

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be discussing the first twenty years of U.S. history under the Constitution.  I love this time period and subject!  I think it is fascinating to examine how the founders essentially created our Federal government out of almost nothing, and did so successfully.  Its so cool!  Afterwards we will be taking a look at the Louisiana Purchase through a document activity.  Don't forget we have our Unit 3 Test on Friday!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Discuss the issues of early American politics and the post-Constitution government
  2. Analyze primary source documents to understand the discontent of Federalists with President Thomas Jefferson
Agenda:
  1. Warm-Up #3
  2. Discuss: America's First Decades
  3. Reading Activity: Louisiana Purchase
  4. Closure #4
Homework:
  1. Study for Unit 3 Test
    1. Remember two prompts provided, you choose ONE and then outline the essay
  2. Assemble Unit 3 Packet
That's all for today ladies and gentlemen.  If there is anything we don't get to finish today we will finish it before the test on Friday.  I love working with you all!  Hope you have a good couple of days and I look forward to  seeing you all again soon!

Live long and prosper,

Mr. Marchetti
