September 28

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be discussing the Missouri Compromise!  Woohoo!  This is an interesting little episode in U.S. history that will help lead us down the path to the Civil War, which, with the American Revolution itself, is the most significant event in the first 100 years of U.S. history.  I'm stoked!  If we have time I still want to do the Constitution Scavenger Hunt!  Might be able to squeeze it in today ; )  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1.  Discuss the context of the Missouri Compromise
  2. Analyze primary source documents to better understand the impacts of the Missouri Compromise
Agenda:
  1. Warm-Up #2
  2. Discuss: Missouri Compromise
  3. Document Activity: Missouri Compromise
    1. Map
    2. 3 Primary Source Analyses
  4. Closure #1
Homework:
  1.  Chapter 9 Quiz
That's all for today ladies and gentlemen!  Hope that you are all doing well and having a great week before break!  Don't forget our Chapter 9 Quiz on Friday and we have so much more history to discuss!  I'm so excited!  I just can't hide it!  Take care everyone!

Live long and prosper,

Mr. Marchetti
