March 22

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be doing a little document activity comparing Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan.  This activity will require strong reading, analysis, and writing skills.  We are getting into modern U.S. history so this should be good!  I'm so excited to see you all today!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Read and discuss the policies of Reagan and Carter and evaluate the effectiveness by these presidents to communicate their ideas and help the American public.
Agenda:
  1. Activity - Carter vs. Reagan
    1. Jimmy Carter - Crisis of Confidence Speech 
    2. Ronald Reagan - Speech Accepting the Republican Party Nomination

Homework:
  1. Unit Pack Work (Readings, Vocab, Study for Final)
  2. Chapter 30 Quiz on Friday
  3. Outside Reading Project due March 27 --> 5 DAYS
  4. Remember to bring money to register for the AP Exam!
    1. Deadline is Friday!
