September 10 - Lecture #5

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and great to see all you beautiful people!  Today in class we will do our fifth lecture discussing the American Revolution (Briefly) and then jump into the first governments of the United States!  Today we officially get into United States history!  I am so excited!  I love this government stuff and can't wait to dive in!  Let's get down to business!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Analyze the role of the American Revolution in influencing the democratic and republican ideals represented first in the Articles of Confederation and then in the U.S. Constitution

  1. Chapter 6 Quiz Thursday
  2. Deadline to switch to Accelerated September 13 (FRIDAY)
  3. First Research Paper due October 14
  4. Outside Reading Project due December 6
  5. APUSH Exam May 8
    1. Apply for Fee reduction (see below from Mr. Park)
      1. San Jose Unified School District is continuing with its AP test fee reduction program this year. Regardless of income, if the nutrition application is filled out by 9/25/19, the AP exam will be reduced to $5 per test. This is a yearly application; thus, families must fill this out every year. To access the application, go to https://nutrition.sjusd.org. Once again, the deadline is 9/25/19.
