February 6 - CH 24 Quiz and Atomic Cafe

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and wonderful to see all you beautiful people!  Today in class we will be taking our Chapter 24 quiz and then we will begin to watch a film that bridges Unit 7 and 8, Atomic Cafe.  This film is great because it uses primary source footage to demonstrate the "atomic culture" that emerged in the aftermath of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the paranoia of the early Cold War.  Should be a lot of fun!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Analyze and discuss the causes and consequences of World War II
  2. View and analyze primary source films regarding the advent of atomic weapons and their impact on American culture
Agenda:
  1. Collect AP Test Registration
  2. Chapter 24 Quiz
  3. Atomic Cafe
Homework:
  1. AP Test Sign ups in your AP classes
    1. Bring a check or cash to ANY of your AP classes and fill out the registration
    2. FRIDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER!
  2. Unit 7 Test on Friday
    1. Unit 7 Packet Due Friday
  3. 3rd Research Paper due February 11
  4. 2nd Outside Reading Project due March 22

Live long and prosper,

Mr. Marchetti
